Big Wheels Keep on Turnin'

I just love the print of this dress!  From far away it looks like cute little polka dots.  But if you take a look at the close up, they are actually tiny wheels!  Cute, right?

Totally off topic, but I find it funny when people ask me if my feet hurt when wearing heels.  I had gone thrifting and a lady kept saying, "Ma'am?  Ma'am??" until I finally realized she was talking to me, and she said, "Ma'am, don't your feet hurt?  How can you wear those things?"  And I replied, "actually no.  These have big platforms so they're pretty comfy."  She totally scoffed and said, "Well, I know I'd fall down in those things."  Ohhhh-kay.  Sometimes I don't know if I should take comments such as these as compliments or passive-aggressive remarks of disdain.  Oh well.

Has anyone ever questioned things you've worn?  Sometimes I feel the only ones who understand why I wear what I do are you, my dear readers.  Let's sport our heels and be proud, dammit! <3

Love the color of these heels! So girly and pretty!

And I know exactly what you mean! people say the same things to me, "How can you walk in those things, I'd break my neck" (Sometimes I'm thinking, "Wait till you see my Hellbounds" lol) I have no idea how you are supposed to respond. Plead your case that no, they're actually not that bad, or just smile... I have no idea. One day we should just ask them. "What are you expecting me to say here? I just told you they are fine" LOL ...seriously, like it is perfectly fine to just admire from a distance, you don't have to comment. People are weird...

...And I totally thought of you this morning because my office had donuts and I went to get one and no one else was around so I grabbed some napkins and grabbed and hid a second one for my way back to my desk! lol

That's too funny that she stopped you and asked that. I've been asked that in the past too and I'm not sure how to take it certain people are in awe that we can walk around and others I'm not sure what they are thinking when they ask. Either way wear what you like and let them be envious or puzzled either way those shoes still look damn good!

Yes! It is so odd how some people seem to think only inferior idiots wear heels. My feet ALWAYS feel worse after the few days I wear flats. Dang things have no support, always rub the skin off my heel, etc. One guy came up to me in a thrift store once and told me I'd better get an extra pair of the shoes I was wearing (heeled ankle boots) in case mine tore or something. I have no idea whether that was actual advice or I was being made fun of. LOL.

Ah man, see I am really jealous! My feet always hurt after heels and I've tried everything. Transitional pairs, you know the type. Platforms like yours, even with a little heel, smaller heels, wedges and even flatforms (do they count)? There always comes the point where I just can't take it anymore... Can I blame my ridiculously high instep? And I'm SO jealous. I need to practice more!!

Also, how rude of them to come up to you and talk about the obvious! Yes you're wearing heels and still wearing them so erm, they're fine haha! Someone I used to work with used to hate how everyone he first met would say "wow, you're tall!" Captain obvious!

Oh man, definitely with you on the heels thing! So many of my friends are like "How the hell do you wear those things all the time?" But if you've got good platforms on them, they're as comfortable as any other shoe in my opinion. With the added benefits of looking hot haha!
So yes, wear the heels proudly!
I love the vintage dresses on you Toni. The cute print on this is perfect too. Love how its actually wheels! :)

aww! Toni! Love this look! And I like your shoes so much! It's so funny when you think about the comments later! In the beginning you're like "leave me alone, I just wanna shop!!" then it kinda just makes me laugh a little.

I get that too, when I wear wedges or anything with a platform. They ask if it hurts and I say No and explain why. After my explanation they are always like "ooooohhhhkay. IF you SAY so. I don't believe you though" It's kinda like..... "then why did you ask!?" lol

aww the dress print is so cute. I really like your hairstyle in this as well, the extra volume in the front gives it a youthful, girly feel. And yeah...I don't know how I would've taken that comment. I'd probably think that she didn't believe me and that I was just another one of those vain girls who puts fashion before anything else. Oh well...you rock those heels and wear them with pride! :)

and btw the lens my bf uses is Canon 70-200 2.8. hope that helps :)

Your dress is so cute and I love the heels, such a nice color! Did you buy them recently? hmmm I don't think anyone has ever asked me that, but they do ask me if I am going to fall down...so I just say like "uhhmmm...no?"

I love this dress and the over sized clutch! And yeah, people always say weird/dumb things like that. I feel like it's a bit of jealousy mixed with arrogance or ignorance. I just laugh it off and you should too when you look this awesome!
